Children of Threlkeld School enjoy learning about other cultures. In recent years we have visited a Hindu Temple, a Mosque, a Sikh Temple, a Buddhist Temple and Carlisle Cathedral to complement our RE curriculum. We have welcomed an African drummer, Asian cooks, a Fair Trade Banana farmer and an Indian dancer into school. The Indian dancer taught the children how to do Bollywood dancing. She had never visited a small, rural school like ours before, so it was an interesting exchange of cultures.
