Class 3 have enjoyed holding their Christmas Fair again this year in aid of the Juniper Trust, which is a locally based charity providing practical help and aid to children in developing countries, for example Nepal and Peru. They build schools and provide cheap solar lights so that older children can study after dark.
Class 3 prepared a number of fundraising activities at the Fair, including Christmas biscuit decorating, Guess the name of the Snowman, a toy stall, lucky dips and knocking the cans down with bean bags. The younger children came to spend their money and it was a good lesson for them in budgeting and economics. It was a good lesson for Class 3 in marketing as a little competition crept in between the store holders!
